ibRV Reveals Unprecedented Detail in Brain Circuit Development
Researchers developed a novel tool, the inducible barcoded rabies virus (ibRV), that enables temporal-controlled labeling of synaptic circuits with high-throughput single-cell genomics readout. This advanced method overcomes limitations of existing techniques, allowing for the dissection of neuronal circuit changes over time at single-cell and spatial resolution. It offers a deeper understanding of how circuits form and dysfunction, which is crucial for neurodevelopmental disorder research.
