Thermally Driven Exciton Engineering Significantly Boosts Quantum Dot Energy Transfer
Researchers have demonstrated that thermally driven bright-dark exciton redistribution in quantum dots (QDs) significantly enhances their ability to transfer energy to molecules. This mechanism led to a substantial increase in triplet energy transfer (TET) rates and efficiency in naphthalene-functionalized CdSe/ZnS QDs, offering a new strategy for optimizing optoelectronic and energy conversion technologies.
