Learning Metaphor & Analogy
"Imagine a detective connecting clues on a pinboard with red string. Instead of looking at one isolated clue, they see the whole web. The graph neural network works the same way, linking patient symptoms, proteins, and medical history to see the bigger picture."

For decades, predicting long-term patient outcomes after a severe medical event has remained a formidable challenge. Doctors around the world struggle to foresee exactly how conditions like a heart attack will affect different people. Some patients recover steadily, while others suffer severe, lifelong complications. Treatment programmes often hit hurdles because we lack a deep, individualised understanding of these biological aftermaths. We need better tools to map exactly how human bodies react to disease at a molecular level.
